My Journey

“Forget the risk and take the fall. If it’s meant to be, it’s worth it all!”

My World✨🦋✨

When you recover or discover something that nourishes your soul and brings joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life.- Jean Shinoda Bolen

The idea of creating my own and becoming more versatile has long dawned upon me. I have a deep appreciation for depth, authenticity, and meaningful expression.
My ambition is not to fit in stand out, or chase popularity. I’m happy just doing what I love, and being free to embrace that which brings me joy. In the comfort of being ‘myself’.

Music speaks where words fail.🎶

The Pursuit🦋

“Be so rooted in you that nobody’s absence or presence can disturb your inner peace.” unknown

My success in gardening has to do with the combined effort of doing what I love with passion and blessings. I began this journey on the spontaneous idea of ‘desiring’ to produce my own healthy vegetables and become more self-sustaining. Lacking knowledge and skills did not defer my passion for pursuing trying.
✨In considering my 10 years of achievements, passion appears to have helped in the development of knowledge. 😋

How I Got my name?🦋

The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion”. Albert Camus

The name “Dgentle Gardener”, was a recommendation by one of my former Facebook followers  “Adam Peacook”. Back in 2013. He was of the opinion that I held the likeness of a “Gentle Gardener”. This has been the leading factor in perpetuating my gardening identity over the years.
Adam and I no longer have contact, yet our encounter reinforced the proverb; “We meet people for a reason! , and how a simple touch or kind gesture can have a lifelong impact.

Discovery🦋

Butterflies are a beautiful representation of spiritual rebirth, transformation, change and hope ...Garden picture 2020

My attachment to butterflies stems from their meaningful representation of transformation. The manner in which they evolve from complexity into beauty and are able to ‘stand out amidst their quiet existence. Their cycle is an example of patience, perseverance and humility, all of which lead to rewarding outcomes.

Enlightenment🦋

One of my early moments in the garden

Nature and gardening help me remain rooted in my purpose. Keeps me calm and helps me stay focused. Spending time outdoors awakened me to the importance of attentive listening. It enhances my spiritual growth, through which I find inner peace.

Attribution🦋

“Be the one who nurtures and builds. One who looks for the best in people. Leave people better than you found them.”― Marvin J. Ashton

The more you nurture the lives of others through love, the more your own soul becomes fertile with happiness
Learning to embrace every path of life as a lesson, has led me to become, morally and intellectually richer, emotionally stable, and spiritually grounded.

Growth 🦋

Nurturing my daughters’ growth has been one of my richest blessings.

Life is a school in which all experiences are meant to teach us. Never be reluctant to learn, or proud to accept correction. This is how we reach our full potential called “GROWTH”!

The Reward🦋

I don’t want to waste my time trying to fight for what’s not mine”, I don’t want to lose myself in someone else dreams”.

Conclusion🦋
After many diversions, contemplation, and prayer I am taking this step of “Faith”. My only desire is that it serves to uplift and inspire anyone who joins me here.

💜Gentle🦋
